Centrex Virtual PBX

Centrex is a generic name for a telephone PBX service that is provided and managed centrally by the telephone operator rather than being installed at the customer's premises. Sabrefin Solutions' Centrex service is, however, anything but generic.

In conjunction with several leading communications services providers we have created a system which not only offers the features normally completely out of reach of the smaller business market, but can also help those same businesses cut their telephony costs dramatically.

The Business Virtual PBX Service enables voice communications over a broadband internet connection. Our virtual phone system and call servers allow us to provide a single telephony solution for distributed organisations.

When a call comes in, whether it is from the PSTN (public telephone network) or another virtual VoIP user, it will arrive at our call routing server. The call server forwards the call over the internet to the relevant telephones, which then ring.


Features

Low Cost Calls: All internal calls within the system are free, despite the geographical location of phones. Calls to the regular phone network are low cost.

PSTN Caller ID: Select the caller ID. When you make a call, your user name is also transmitted and will be displayed on handsets that can accept it, for example, those of other VoIP phone users. You can also present your existing 0870/0800 etc. number as your caller id.

Message before ringing: Choose a personalised message to play before ringing.

Voicemail
  • Voicemail Delay: How many seconds the phone should ring before the voicemail picks up.
  • Recording a voicemail prompt: You can personalize the prompt by recording your own message.
  • SMS & Email Notification: Voicemail notification can be sent by SMS, with a copy of the message sent as an email attachment.
Mapping an extension directly to another number: Sometimes, you may want a phone number to divert calls to an external number. This facility can be used in various ways; for example, creating an extension for a mobile number for a service engineer or salesman on the road.

Creating a hunt group: Hunt groups allow you to specify more than one person to answer a call on a particular extension; e.g. Sales and Support. Individual phone extensions can be run in sequence or in parallel. Calls can also be filtered by time of day.

Setting up a voice menu (IVR): A voice menu gives your callers a simple way to decide who to speak to by selecting an option 0-9 from the menu.

Call Queuing: Route calls across members of staff, queuing calls in the event all staff members are busy.

Recording welcome messages: An extension, a hunt group or a menu can be associated with a recorded message that plays before the ring tone. For example, you might record a message during a very busy period warning that response times may be longer than usual, or a message mentioning a special promotion or solution to a technical problem.

Music on Hold: This can be enabled using default music or you can upload your own mp3 files.

Transferring calls between extensions: Calls can be transferred (blind or introduced) between extensions

  • attended or unattended call transfer
  • caller on hold
  • initiate three-way calls
  • notify waiting calls
